Accommodation
Homestay
All our families are carefully chosen and visited to ensure that
high standards are achieved and maintained. Full board accommodation
is provided: bed, breakfast, packed lunch on weekdays and an evening
meal. All meals are provided at weekends. Sometimes a student of
another language is placed in the same family. Many long-term friendships
are forged as a result of these visits.
Residential
Some groups prefer to stay in one of our residential centres in
or around Norwich. The English Experience uses private schools or
the University of East Anglia.
The University of East Anglia
The students stay in single study bedrooms and have all their meals
in the restaurant on campus. There is a cooked or continental breakfast,
and two-course lunch and dinner with a very varied menu including
a vegetarian option. There is a medical centre on site.
Private schools
Here the students stay in small dormitories (2-8 persons per room).
Teachers always have a single room. The English Experience resident
staff supervise the students at all times to ensure a successful
visit. Sporting facilities for the students' use are available on
site. A local doctor is linked to the school.
Student Welfare
The English Experience has a full time Welfare Officer, who is
always available to assist students who have a problem. There is
also a 24-hour emergency phone to make sure that the students can
always contact someone. All students are issued with a student card
which includes relevant details.
