Adult Courses
Students aged over 18 years of age
General English
Our teachers will use a communicative teaching style to focus
on the skills of speaking, listening, reading and writing. You will
also have the opportunity to practise and develop your vocabulary,
grammar and pronunciation. All material is practised through pair
work, group work and role play. Further practice and revision is

Business English
We offer English courses to help you survive in the business world.
Whether it is preparation for a specific certificate such as B.E.C.,
pronunciation so that meetings hold no fear, or just a business
course to improve confidence, we can provide it. Back

Exam Preparation Courses
We have experienced teachers available who will help with the preparation
of exam courses, enrol you in the relevant exam and offer help and
guidance throughout.
Cambridge
Preliminary English Test (P.E.T.)
This is a lower intermediate examination that indicates that you
have developed the skills to cope in social and work situations
in an English-speaking environment.
Cambridge
First Certificate (F.C.E.)
This is an upper intermediate examination that shows that you
have an effective command of the language in a range of situations.
It has widespread international recognition for work purposes.
Cambridge
Advanced Certificate (C.A.E.)
This is a lower advanced examination that verifies that you have
a good command of the language in a wide range of real situations.
It can be used for admission to undergraduate and postgraduate
degree courses and to increase your employment prospects.

Proficiency Certificate (C.P.E.)
This is an upper advanced examination, which indicates that you
have fully operational command of the language at a high level.
It can be used for admission to undergraduate and postgraduate
degree courses and to increase your employment prospects.
International English
Language Testing System (I.E.L.T.S.)
The English Experience focuses on the IELTS test for students
who wish to go to college to do ‘A’ levels or to go to university
to do a Foundation Course, a First Degree or a Master’s programme.
Our qualified, friendly tutors will guide you to the grade you
require.
Business
English Certificates (B.E.C.)
These certificates provide qualifications for learners who wish
to use English for the purpose of international business. The
examinations assess your ability to use a full range of structures
and language functions in a business context.

Study Holidays for Adults
Study Holidays are an exciting option for groups of adults wishing
to combine General English with the option of excursions and leisure
activities. They have the option of staying in carefully selected
host families, or bed and breakfast accommodation. These courses
are ideally suited to groups of adults who are learning English
and wish to experience the English way of life at the same time
