Norwich
Norwich is a beautiful and thriving capital to East Anglia with
much to offer the visitor or student. Home to the University of
East Anglia, it is cosmopolitan, relaxed and friendly.
Here you will find one of England’s finest Norman
Cathedrals as well as the striking Catholic cathedral and a
wealth of medieval buildings. The impressive Norman
Castle, standing on its mound above the unique Castle Mall shopping
centre, contrasts vividly with the stunning new Forum building,
the city's exciting, state of the art, centre for information, learning
and entertainment. The city provides a superb shopping experience
and most of the major retail outlets and principle attractions are
within easy walking distance of each other.
There are also many places of interest to visit in the surrounding
area such as:
- Blickling
Hall: National Trust owned Jacobean property
- Sandringham: the Queen's Norfolk country residence
- The Norfolk Broads: one of the most popular inland waterways
in Europe
